About the Artist
My name is Libby Dickinson and I am the artisan of Bibby Bears. I have been making custom teddy bears for six years and am a member of the South Carolina Artisans Center. I began making mohair teddy bears in 1999 after becoming intrigued with the art of fashioning these little personatities out of lengths of cloth. I now design and hand-make all details of each bear. I have been sewing clothing and home decor items for over 25 years. Sewing has always been a plesant diversion for me, and I take great satisfaction in the creation of each of my little friends.
